All urban land-use growth is based on its primary source of transportation. Most Western urban growth is based on its automobile centric land-use design and is known as the car culture. 

There are four types of land-use:

• nature 
• agriculture 
• transit oriented design 
• automobile centric land-use design

In the arena of climate change conversations, a friend recently pointed out that somewhere along the way the word pollution has been removed. Because this writing is about sustainable transportation, it’s important to point out that the word pollution is a by-product of industrialization and the automobile-centric urban land-use design.

Of the four types of land-use, the automobile-centric land-use design is completely unsustainable. Having said this, with the automobile being the center of all Western civilization growth, all urban growth is focused on the foundational dependence upon the automobile. But, the automobile is completely unsustainable and building an entire civilization upon an unsustainable foundation is problematic. 

All that can be said, quickly, regarding sustainable urban growth is that it’s impossible with the automobile as the foundation to Western Society urban land-use design. 

Solutions? The automobile-centric land-use design is already the dominate land-use design. The ONLY way people will forsake use of their automobiles is by having a new form of transportation made available. It will be something more convenient, faster, less expensive, more efficient, and safer than a car. 

Trains established western civilization urban growth. Trains are a 200-year-old technology, which is an antiquated mode of transportation. The automobile is a 125-year-old technology. It’s worn out. Airplanes are a 100-year-old technology and are unable to fly in space. 

There are 6 modes of transportation:

• walking
• animals
• boats
• trains
• automobiles
• planes 

With the technology level of today’s civilization, a new mode of transportation is necessary.

There are enough people pointing out flaws with finger pointing criticisms. Arguing over spilt milk doesn’t stop the tanker truck from leaking milk.

This article is written to provide solutions. In addition to his other incredible achievements, Nikola Tesla proposed theories of gravity flight late in his life. Viktor Schauberger was raised in a long line of master foresters. His most famous philosophical statement was: “Comprehend and copy nature”. He discovered that all nature is centripetal and constructive, centrifugal motion is destructive. Otis Carr was Nikola Tesla’s protégé. In the late 1950s he built a space ship utilizing Nikola Tesla’s gravity flight designs. This design used independent inertia fields. T. Townsend Brown established the Biefeld-Brown Effect to define electrogravitics. John Searl devised an apparatus that can be used as a vehicle which utilized the principles of electrogravitics. 

Let’s move to the next step. How about an actual definition of gravity. 

Towards the end of his life a reporter asked Albert Einstein if there was one thing he would liked to have done that he didn’t do. His answer was, he would have liked to have discovered what makes gravity work. In actuality he did, he just didn’t realize it.
